The first thing you saw as you entered the main entrance. You knew you had arrived at Butlin's Pwllheli and the fun was to start

One of my happy places as a child and as a teenager working there. I just loved those iconic fountains. Even have a picture of me sitting on top of the one at the far end of this postcard

The hobby horses ride used to be inside under cover. It's the first ride that me and my dad used to go on.Then the old fashion cars and trains that run along the side of cars. We had once taken the little train ride. It came off the rails as it turned the corner. We was never hurt however, there was a large panic about the issue. If that would happen in today's world, the ride would of been closed down for good, ah the good old days.

The red camp is opposite this skating rink. It was later made into the first premier chalets. The outlay of the original chalets were left. The premier chalets were planned to incorporate original. One premier chalet was moulded so to speak out of two of three original chalets. If that makes sense. These are a large reminder of Butlin's Pwllheli for me.

The building on the right hand side of this postcard is the main reception. The first building you had seen across this was the outdoor pool and the iconic fountains

Regarding years shown on this page

Thanks for checking out my postcards, which I hope sparks that memory. Under each postcard are the publisher's name and details, including the year. The year shown on this page is to show you the postmark (when it was sent) not when the photo was taken. It gives you a rough idea of the era of Butlins. Photos for postcards are usually reused for many years and might show Butlins in a different year. The photo would have been taken between 2 - 5 years before the year shown.

That is very kind of you, thank you very much :)
