The Billy Butlin Story is an exceptional book that provides valuable insights into the founder, Sir Billy Butlin. Each chapter tells a unique story that reflects significant moments in his life, which inspired me to dig deeper and gain a better understanding of him. On page 33, in chapter 2, we see Sir Billy Butlin examining his family history, where he uncovers some remarkable findings, including the fact that he was not the only individual in his family tree to be knighted. As I continued to read, I found myself increasingly inspired by the narrative style, particularly with names like Sir Henry Trentham Butlin, Reverend William Wright Butlin, and William Heygate Butlin appearing throughout. This realisation motivated me to explore the history further, especially when I discovered that part of his grandfather's name was included in his own, William Heygate Edmund Colborne Butlin, which encouraged me to investigate the connections within the family tree.

   - Research into the family history and how it helped inspire Billy Butlin to become the owner of the famous holiday company. 
   - Look deeper into any travelling show man that Sir Billy Butlin joined when he returned to the United Kingdom with his mother
   - Further research into the connections of Clifford, Marshall, Ernest and Bernard as travelling showmen (page 35)

Sir Billy Butlin recognised the importance of including this in his book, suggesting that this area was significant to him. As you read on, it becomes clear that he had a fascination with this history, which inspired me to dig deeper. My research began to yield results as I could now see the connection to his full name, which indeed honours a very rich history in the Butlin family tree. However, I must say, on a personal note, that I may have gone a bit too far with my research, tracing back eleven generations (I got a bit carried away).
